• Q: How to replace the digital radio antenna cable on 2008 Buick Lucerne?

  A: In order to replace the digital radio Antenna Cable, pry off the upper rear quarter trim panel along with the rear assist handles, mindful not to ruin the headliner in the process. Lower the rear of the headliner and disconnect the Antenna Cable from the clips, then removal the connection of the Antenna Cable from above the am/fm Antenna module also removal the foam tape from this connection. Next, unplug the Antenna connectors from the radio Antenna and attach a piece of wire or string to the end of the Antenna Cable. Strip the left rear compartment trim panel out and remove the Antenna Cable connection from the digital receiver. Pull the Antenna Cable out of the clips and rear harness, pull it out to rear compartment and then pull out the wire/string from Antenna Cable then pull out cable from the vehicle. For installation, connect the wire or string to the new cable and gently pull it in the passenger's cabin. If the radio Antenna wire or string is connected to the back of the tv set, remove the wire or string and attach the Antenna Cable to the digital receiver and attach the holding clips in the rear compartment. Reinstall the left rear compartment trim panel, connect antennas connectors to the digital radio Antenna, and wrap the connector in the foam tape. Mount the Antenna Cable connection above the am/fm Antenna module, connect the cable to the locating clips on the roof and the third pillar, and the headliner to the roof panel, and lastly replacing the rear assists handles and the upper rear quarter trim panel.
