How to replace the front side door window regulator on 2008 Cadillac CTS?

The procedure for replacing the front side door Window Regulator begins by positioning the window at the highest point then removing the door trim panel. Shift to the next step by uninstalling the water deflector from the window followed by taping it at full up. Use the holes in the inner door panel to perform 4 revolutions of the window clamp nuts before connecting the door trim panel wiring harness. The Window Regulator should be positioned three-fourths of the way down before disconnecting the electrical connector from the Window Regulator motor. Take out the Window Regulator by detaching bolts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and removing it from the door. The Window Regulator installation requires insertion into the door before tighttorque of the Window Regulator bolts (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) to 9 n.m. Lower the window glass into the window clamp while positioning it fully against the rear side of the channel when in seating position. Place the power Window Motor electric connector on and start the vehicle to reach top power that helps position and adjust the window correctly. Ensure full window extension by raising it and secure window clamp nuts to 11 n.m (95 lb in). Test the window for correct operation and inspect the window seal before shutting off the engine. Append the water deflector before fitting the door trim panel.
