The first step for egr pipe replacement requires you to disconnect the egr pipe bolt at the water pump housing before lifting and securing the vehicle. You must begin with unfastening the egr pipe nut located at the Exhaust Manifold to detach the egr valve pipe. Position the egr valve pipe to the Exhaust Manifold after which tighten its nut at the Exhaust Manifold to 60 n.m (44 lb ft). Lift up the vehicle before installing the egr valve pipe bolt at the water pump housing and torquing it to 28 n.m (21 lb ft). The crush seal connection of the egr valve inlet pipe requires a new replacement if it was separated from the water pump housing.
