How to replace the auxiliary A/C hose on 2008 Cadillac Escalade?

The first step before replacing the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator tube requires the recovery of refrigerant from the system. Extract the auxiliary a/c evaporator tubes out of their positions from the condenser tube and accumulator assembly. Beginning from behind the wheelhouse on the right front side access the clamp by unfastening it and completing the vehicle lift. First uninstall the right assist step followed by removing the wheelhouse liners from the front and rear positions. Start by taking off the auxiliary a/c evaporator tubes followed by removing the retaining nut from the auxiliary hvac module. Then detach the heater/a/c tubes retaining nut from the stud at the frame as well as the auxiliary a/c evaporator tubes from the clamps. Secure the new auxiliary a/c evaporator tubes correctly to their clamps after removing them from the vehicle. Begin by installing the heater/a/c tubes retaining nut to the stud at the frame and thereafter tighten it to 7 nm (62 lb in). Then, attach the auxiliary a/c evaporator tubes (2, 3) together with the retaining nut to the auxiliary hvac module. Secure the nut to 16 nm (12 lb ft). The service technician should lower the vehicle and place back the rear wheelhouse liner and right assist step and front wheelhouse liner. Finished by connecting the auxiliary a/c evaporator tubes to condenser tube and accumulator by tightening nuts to 16 nm (12 lb ft). Afterward, refrigerant must be added to the system with a j 39400-a halogen leak detector performed for fitting leak check.
