The first step to replace the engine coolant Fan Motor begins with removing the cooling fan assembly. Before starting begin by removing the Fan Blade retaining nut from the motor followed by pulling the Fan Blade from the motor shaft. Start by removing the motor from the shroud after you have unscrewed its retaining screws. Installation requires a proper placement of the motor into the shroud followed by tightening the cooling Fan Motor retaining screws to 5 n.m (44 lb in). Seam the Fan Blade onto the motor shaft and rotate it until it drops onto position before installing and securing the Fan Blade retaining nut to 7 n.m (62 lb in). The cooling fan installation process concludes with the reinstallation of the fan assembly.
