How to service and repair the air cleaner fresh air hose on 2008 Chevrolet Colorado?

The initial step to work on the air cleaner fresh air duct/hose requires you to take off the air cleaner outlet duct. Separate the atmospheric vent hose from both the air cleaner resonator and loosen the clamp securing the resonator outlet duct. After removing the 2 air cleaner resonator bolts you can lift upward to disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose from the camshaft cover and the outlet duct from the Throttle Body before removing the assembly from the engine. First position the outlet duct over the Throttle Body assembly before connecting the crankcase ventilation hose to the camshaft cover port. Insert the air cleaner outlet resonator bolts through the captured nuts on the camshaft cover so the outlet duct remains secured to the Throttle Body assembly and prevents roll-under damage. Tighten the air cleaner resonator outlet duct clamp to 6 n.m (53 lb in) after positioning it correctly. Fit the 2 air cleaner outlet resonator bolts into the camshaft cover positions then tighten them to 6 n.m (53 lb in). Secure the environmental vent pipe to the air filter resonator while installing the air filter outlet assembly.
