Start by disconnecting the lead and terminal nut from the solenoid s of the Starter unit. Once the Starter terminal nut and battery positive cable are removed from the Starter motor you can proceed with removal. Start by removing the Starter motor by first removing the Starter motor mounting nut and bolt . When installing the Starter motor place it over the stud then bolt and nut the Starter motor mounting nut and bolt while tightening both to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Secure the Starter terminal nut while maintaining a torque of 9 n.m (80 lb in) to the attached battery positive cable. Attach the lead to the Starter solenoid while installing the Starter solenoid s terminal nut at 3.5 n.m (31 lb in). Finally, reinstall the Intake Manifold.
