• Q: How to replace the Coolant Reservoir (LZE, LZ4, LZG) (3.5L, 3.9L) on 2008 Chevrolet Impala?

  A: To replace coolant recovery reservoir (LZE, LZ4, LZG) (3.5L, 3.9L), first turn the reservoir hose clamp and disconnect the reservoir hose from the radiator overflow neck. Next, unscrew the coolant recovery reservoir nuts from the shock tower studs, and then use the coolant recovery reservoir from the lower retainer and studs of shock tower. Drain the conditioner coolant out of the recovery tank into a container. For the installation, only the coolant recovery reservoir must be installed onto the lower retainer and shock tower studs, installing the coolant recovery reservoir nuts to the shock tower studs and tighten to 3.3n.m (29 lb in). After removing the tank all options are entertained pc or white mate moistened the reservoir hose with clean water and hosed it to the radiator overflow neck fitting before instilling the Coolant Reservoir hose to the overflow neck fitting. Finally, install the reservoir hose and clamp with the clamp tabs pointing 11 o'clock on to the radiator overflow fitting at the top of the radiator filler neck so that the hose end is perfectly against the top of the radiator filler neck and clamp is perfectly centered between radiator filler neck and flared end of the fitting. Refill the coolant recovery reservoir to full or the indicated mark on the side.
