How to replace the underhood fuse box on 2008 Chevrolet Malibu?

The first step for Fuse box or underhood electrical center replacement involves removing the battery followed by the positive battery cable leads fasteners from the underhood electrical center and moving these leads away from the electrical center. First remove all electrical center cover and then take out every Fuse and relay from the system. A flat-bladed tool should be utilized to detach the four tabs holding the electrical center in place to the battery tray while allowing the removal of the connector cover from the electrical center. Begin by loosening the 4 bolts at the electrical center top and follow with a flat-bladed tool to pull away the locking pins from the body harness connector then disconnect it and remove all other wiring harness connectors from the Fuse box. When installing the electrical center users should begin by mounting the electrical center upside down then they should connect the electrical center harness followed by installing a locking pin into the power supply connector. The Fuse box requires securing with engine bolts and instrument panel (I/P) bolts alongside forward lamp wiring harness connector bolts which need to be tightened to 7 n.m torque (62 lb in). Next install the electrical center right side up into the battery tray by applying pressure to the retainer tab. After reinstalling fuses and relays, attach the positive battery cable lead to the underhood electrical center stud and fasten it with the retaining nut tightened to 10 n.m (89 lb in). The electrical center cover installation should be completed followed by battery installation.
