How to replace the Mechanical Fan Shroud Lower Section on 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

The first step to replace the engine coolant fan lower shroud (Mechanical) is to remove the cooling fan. The oil cooler hose connection must be disconnected from the lower Fan Shroud only when an Engine Oil Cooler exists on the vehicle. You must raise the lower Fan Shroud until it disconnects from the retaining clips on the Radiator. The installation process requires placing the lower Fan Shroud exactly at the center of the lower Radiator support before reattaching the Engine Oil Cooler hose clip when an Engine Oil Cooler exists. Finally, reinstall the cooling fan.
