    A: Start the shock absorber service process by lifting and supporting the vehicle before tire and wheel removal. The shock absorber yoke bolt should be detached first while removing the shock absorber assembly from the vehicle. Place pieces of heater hose on the front spring where j 45400 touches the lower spring area before you can insert the shock absorber assembly within j 45400. Adjust the spring compressor adjusting screw until the front spring achieves its compressed state. Use a wrench to remove the shock absorber nut as well as suspension washer followed by removing the shock absorber from the front spring. Use the spring compressor to detach the front spring insulator as well as the front spring from j 45400. Disassemble the front shock absorber retainer as well as the front shock absorber boot and front shock absorber upper bumper from the front shock absorber. Installation begins with positioning the front spring and front spring insulator into the j 45400 before compressing the coil spring using the screw adjustment. Then install the lower front spring insulator together with the front shock absorber upper bumper and front shock absorber boot as well as front shock retainer and front suspension washer onto the shock absorber.
