How to replace the upper control arm ball joint on 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

You should first raise and support the vehicle to start the upper control arm Ball Joint replacement. Take off the tire and wheel first, and then take off the Steering Knuckle along with the Wheel Hub. Then, take off the upper Ball Joint retaining clip and also the boot. Take the lower Ball Joint remover and installer (J 9519-E) and use it to take out the upper Ball Joint from the Steering Knuckle. Install the upper Ball Joint by putting it into the Steering Knuckle and using the lower Ball Joint remover and installer (J 9519-E), the Control Arm Bushing set (J 21474-01), and the Ball Joint installation spacer (J 45117). When installed, place the retaining clip onto the upper Ball Joint, put the Steering Knuckle back on with the Wheel Hub, fit the tire and wheel, bring the car down, and then check the front wheel alignment.
