How to replace the lower control arm ball joint on Chevrolet Trailblazer?

You need to lift and stabilize the vehicle before working on the lower Control Arm Ball Joint replacement. Lift the vehicle and take off the tire and wheel before disconnecting the Steering Knuckle with Wheel Hub and bearing. You should use a chisel tool to take off the lower Ball Joint flange part. To connect the new lower Ball Joint with the lower Control Arm use both booster seal remover/installer (J 34874) and Ball Joint remover and installer set (J 9519-E). This tool set will help draw out the old lower Ball Joint from the Control Arm safely. Install the new lower Ball Joint within the lower Control Arm using all the tools from the Ball Joint remover and installer set (J 9519-E) as well as the Ball Joint installer (J 41435) and the receiver (J 45105-2). When ready, detach the tools and put on the Ball Joint flaring adapter (J 45105-1) to flare the flange of the lower joint. After putting back the Wheel Hub and bearing, bolt the Steering Knuckle into position and add the tire and wheel afterward. Lower the vehicle to examine the front wheel positioning.
