How to replace the upper ball joint on 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Raising the vehicle while providing support is the first step before you disconnect the tire to access the upper Ball Joint. Step one is to separate the Steering Knuckle with Wheel Hub while step two involves taking off the Ball Joint retaining clip and boot. Put the lower Ball Joint remover and installer (J9519-E) tool to remove the upper Ball Joint from the Steering Knuckle. Install the new upper Ball Joint into the Steering Knuckle by placing it in position with the tools lower Ball Joint remover and installer (J9519-E) and Control Arm Bushing set (J21474-01). Also use Ball Joint installation spacer (J45117) during this step. Put back the Steering Knuckle and Wheel Hub after clip-locking the upper Ball Joint. Reinstall the tire and wheel before lowering the vehicle for wheel alignment check.
