What tools are required to replace the shock absorber on a 2WD (Z85, ZQ8) on 2008 GMC Canyon?

Strut spring compressor tool j 45400 stands as the required equipment to conduct Shock Absorber replacement on a 2wd vehicle with z85 or zq8 models. Start the process by clearing the upper nuts from the absorber/spring assembly and afterward lift and stabilize the vehicle. Start by taking away the tire combined with the wheel and afterward unfastening the absorber/spring assembly bolt and nut. The front stabilizer link should be removed first before extracting the absorber/spring assembly from the vehicle while maintaining safety for Coil Springs. Position the absorber/spring assembly into the strut spring compressor (J 45400) machine where you will compress the coil spring. Take out the absorber from the assembly through the strut spring compressor j45400 but leave the spring inside the tool. Reinstall the absorber into the strut spring compressor (J 45400) then position absorber bushings and washers correctly before torquing the retaining nut up to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Use the strut spring compressor (J 45400) to reattach the absorber/spring assembly to the vehicle by tightening its bolt and another nut to 110 n.m (81 lb ft). After installing and torqueing the upper stabilizer link the process includes lowering the vehicle and attaching its wheel followed by tightening the absorber/spring assembly upper mounting nuts to 27 n.m (20 lb ft).
