How to replace the Windshield Washer Pump on 2008 GMC Canyon?

Before you start replace the windshield washer pump you need to lift and support the hood and take out the washer solvent canister. Twist the pump top out from the container and use 2 flat-blade tools to pry opposite sides of the pump out of its grommet. Take out the washer pump unit from the washer container and dispose of the old washer pump grommet. To install the washer pump and grommet connect them to the washer solvent container and use washer solvent to help their insertion into the grommet. Push down to fit the pump into the grommet before locking the top of the pump to the washer container and putting back the washer solvent container. Close the hood to finish.
