When installing the new air cleaner, position it correctly before tightening the air cleaner cover while making sure the cover tabs line up correctly with the air cleaner housing. Vehicle damage occurs when fastener precautions are not followed. After installing the air cleaner cover screws, apply torque to 8 nm (71 lb in). Users must replace the air cleaner intake duct at the end of the installation process.
