How to replace the engine coolant thermostat housing (LY7) with SFI VIN 7 on 2009 Cadillac STS?

In changing the engine coolant Thermostat housing (LY7) for a vehicle with sfi vin 7, one is required to remove the heater hoses from the Heater Core. Subsequently, take out the Thermostat and the Thermostat housing bolts. Remove the housing of the Thermostat with the heater pipes and hoses with care, and bolts. Forming a torque convertor lock question clean sealing surfaces using a plastic gasket scraper (J 28410) or equivalent. Put the heater pipes and hoses together with the Thermostat housing and then put target new gasket. Partially tighten the Thermostat housing bolts to hold the gasket and finally install the Thermostat housing with heater pipes, hoses, gasket, and bolts. It will be necessary to tighten the bolts of the Thermostat housing 20 nm (15 lb ft). Finally, install a Thermostat and reconnect the heater hoses at the Heater Core.
