How to replace the rear parking brake cable on 2009 Cadillac XLR?

Raising and supporting the vehicle is the beginning step for parking brake rear cable replacement. Pull the front cable downward from beneath to decrease tension then remove the left and right rear cables from the equalizer component of the front cable. The replacement process begins by taking out the rh Muffler and by disconnecting rear park brake cables from left and right park brake actuators and extracting the rear park brake cable from the rear suspension mounting bracket. Start by removing the retainer nut from the rear park brake cable followed by complete removal of the cable from vehicle space. As a first step during installation process install the rear Parking Brake Cable before finally fixing it with the retainer nut. First connect the rear park brake cable to the rear suspension mounting bracket after which it should be connected to the left and right park actuators. Lower the vehicle then reinstall the rh Muffler after reconnecting both left and right cables to the equalizer which belongs to the front cable.
