First remove the Axle Shaft retaining ring through plier action from j 8059 (Snap Ring Pliers) before removing the tripot and tripot joint retaining ring both from the shaft and finally removing the tripot joint seal. First install a new small seal retaining clamp onto the seal then position the seal onto the Axle Shaft. The Axle Shaft receives its shaft retaining ring through installation with j 8059 (Snap Ring Pliers). The tripot housing requires a grease load of 195-215 grams (6.9-7.6 ounces) followed by an equal repacking of the tripot. Lift the boot onto the joint housing before tightening a new large seal retaining clamp with j 35566 (Seal Clamp Pliers). Pliers j 35566 (Seal Clamp Pliers) should be used to crimp both the new small seal retaining clamp before reinstalling the drive Axle Shaft into the vehicle.
