2009 Chevrolet Aveo Trunk Lock Cylinder Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the rear Trunk Lock Cylinder on a Notchback on 2009 Chevrolet Aveo?
A: The first step to change the Trunk Lock Cylinder on your notchback vehicle involves disconnecting the negative battery terminal. Release the clips on both surfaces of the trunk and the trim before disconnecting the electronic connection and the rod. You should now take off the lock bolt and cylinder. After securing the bolt through the new lock cylinder, tighten the bolt to 4 nm (35 lb in) before connecting the lock rod and installing the trunk lid trim with its clips. Reconnect the black Battery Cable to its original post.
