How to replace the rear Trunk Lock Cylinder on a hatchback on 2008 Chevrolet Aveo?

You need to remove hatchback door lower garnish molding when it exists before replacing the trunk lock cylinder. Unplug the lock rod before taking out the nuts and the lock cylinder assembly. Twist the luggage compartment lock cylinder nuts to 3 N.m torque (27 lb in) before connecting the lock rod to the new parts. Reattach the hatchback door lower garnish molding at the end of the work.
