    A: The first step before replacing a heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) requires a scan tool to clear all codes followed by an ho2s heater resistance learn reset using available diagnostic equipment to stop possible ho2s failure. The process starts with removing the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer before disconnecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector that attaches to the ho2s electrical connector. Detach the ho2s sensor electrical connector from its housing position on the camshaft cover. The j 39194-b heated Oxygen Sensor wrench allows technicians to extract the ho2s from its position on the Exhaust Manifold. The installation of a new ho2s starts with dipping its threads in anti-seize compound p/n 5613695 before manually inserting it into the Exhaust Manifold. Use the j 39194-b to tighten the ho2s sensor to 42 nm (31 lb ft). First refit the ho2s electrical connector onto the camshaft cover followed by connection of engine wiring harness electrical connector to ho2s electrical connector before you can install the cpa retainer.
