Replace the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) sensor 2 while clearing all codes with a scan tool no matter the current dtc status and performing an ho2s heater resistance learn reset using a scan tool as a preventive measure against future ho2s failure. The vehicle needs to be lifted and securely supported. The technician should first disconnect the ho2s electrical connector from its connection to the Engine Wiring Harness Connector. The j 39194-b heated Oxygen Sensor wrench enables you to remove the ho2s from its position within the Catalytic Converter. Apply anti-seize compound p/n 5613695 to ho2s threads since this compound contains graphite and glass beads to improve future replacement procedures. Secure the ho2s within the Catalytic Converter through the j 39194-b wrench tool before tightening it to 42 nm (31 lb ft). To finalize the procedure you need to reattach the ho2s electrical connector to its mating point on the Engine Wiring Harness Connector while lower the vehicle.
