How to replace the transfer case Vehicle Speed Sensor on 2010 Chevrolet Colorado?

A replacement of the transfer case speed sensor starts with raising and properly supporting the vehicle. Open the electrical connector connection at the transfer case speed sensor terminal after which remove the speed sensor alongside its O-ring seal from the transfer case. Examine the O-ring seal for damage and replace it if needed. Frequently lubricate the O-ring seal before installing it onto the speed sensor when replacing one. Insert the speed sensor into the transfer case then tighten it to 17 Nm (13 lb ft). After disconnecting the electrical connector from the transfer case speed sensor it is time to lower the vehicle.
