Chevrolet Colorado Vehicle Speed Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor in the 4L60-E/4L65-E/4L70-E automatic transmission on Chevrolet Colorado?
A: Start by lifting and stabilizing the vehicle before replacing the Vehicle Speed Sensor in 4L60-E/4L65-E/4L70-E automatic transmissions. Unplug the vehicle speed sensor electrical connector and then take off both the connector and bolt at the same time. Unplug the Vehicle Speed Sensor wire connector and take out both the sensor and its ring seal. You must put the O-ring seal on the vehicle speed sensor first before applying transmission fluid to match it. Then put the sensor into the transmission case. Fit the bolt into place before tightening it to 11 N.m (97 lb in). To complete the job you need to reconnect the speed sensor wiring to its harness and lower the vehicle while filling the required fluid.
