How to replace the MAP Sensor on Chevrolet Colorado?

The first step to replace the manifold absolute pressure sensor is to disconnect the electrical connector of the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor. Push the retainer locking tabs inside before pulling the retainer upward to remove it. After removing the MAP Sensor from its Intake Manifold position you should check the MAP Sensor seal for any signs of damage and replace it if found necessary. Before installing the MAP Sensor apply a small amount of clean engine oil on its seal to help with the operation. The MAP Sensor needs to be inserted into the Intake Manifold before you add the MAP Sensor retainer . To finish the installation reconnect the MAP Sensor electrical component.
