You should start by taking off the intake manifold cover before you replace the Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor. The first step involves disconnecting the engine harness electrical connector from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor followed by MAP sensor bracket bolt removal and bracket detachment. Check the MAP sensor seal for damage following removal of the sensor. Replace the sensor seal if damaged. Before installing the MAP sensor back into its position, install a new seal (if needed). After installing the MAP sensor bracket keep its bolts tightened to 25 N.m (18 lb ft). Plug in the engine harness electrical connector to the MAP sensor then place back the intake manifold cover.

The manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor replacement process starts with removing both the air cleaner outlet resonator and the accelerator cable bracket. Begin by disconnecting the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor harness connector after removing the MAP Sensor from the Intake Manifold. Inspect the seal for any damage at this time. The MAP Sensor needs replacement after detecting damaged seal conditions. Put the new MAP Sensor into the Intake Manifold using the MAP Sensor seal that comes in the sensor kit while connecting the sensor harness then reinstall the accelerator cable bracket and end with the outlet resonator installation.

To replace the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor one must first remove all the engine sight shields and the Fuel Rail assembly, which requires to remember that the access to the MAP Sensor is limited, even though it will not require the donor of the intake manifold to be removed. Next, loosen the pcv heat exchange cable fastener, remove the pcv hose from the Throttle Body, the pcv hose from the right bank port and release the pcv hose assembly from the mounting brackets and move to one side. Remove the MAP Sensor harness connector, then pull the MAP Sensor toward you and disengage it from the retainer, then the upward move. Prior to the installation of the new MAP Sensor, test preclude the seal of the MAP Sensor if it is damaged, and replace with a light coat of clean engine oil. Install MAP Sensor in compressing down to snap into the retainer, re-connecting the harness connector, and re-aligning the retainer for the pcv hose assembly for re-assembly. Mount the pcv hose assembly to the mounting brackets , then install pcv hose to the right bank port and then pcv hose to the Throttle Body. And the installation of pcv heat exchange cable fastener and tightening it to 12n.m (106 lb in), as well as the Fuel Rail and engine sight shields.

You need to begin by disconnecting the electrical connector from the MAP Sensor then use a t27 torx bit to extract the MAP Sensor retaining bolt from both the MAP Sensor and its bracket. Afterward, remove the MAP Sensor as well as any MAP Sensor port seal attached to the Intake Manifold. Place the MAP Sensor on the Intake Manifold and join it with the MAP Sensor retaining bracket before attaching the retaining bolt . Follow the fastener notice in service precautions for tightening the bolt to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Reconnect the electrical connector when completing the installation.

Top manifold bolts must be installed first and tightened to a torque of 25 N.m (18 lb ft). Start by reattaching the spark plug wire clip to the intake manifold bracket after which connect the MAP sensor electrical connector and put back the intake manifold cover.

Start the sensor replacement by disconnecting the electrical connector from the manifold absolute pressure sensor. You should push in the retainer locking tabs followed by retainer lift to finish removal. Next examine the MAP Sensor seal on the Intake Manifold for damage while obtaining a replacement only when necessary. Clean engine oil should be applied lightly to MAP Sensor's seal for better installation. Reattach the MAP Sensor to the Intake Manifold making sure to insert the retainer then reconnect the electrical connector .

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in) as per the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Reinstall the intake manifold cover.

First, disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector.

Disconnect the fuel injector harness electrical connector from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.

Remove the sensor electrical connector.

Install the MAP sensor retainer before reconnecting the electrical connector.

Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector and remove the MAP sensor from the intake manifold.

Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector.

Carefully open the MAP sensor retaining tabs just enough to remove the MAP sensor from the vacuum source, then pull the MAP sensor straight out.

Reconnect the MAP sensor harness connector, then reinstall the throttle body and the air cleaner outlet resonator.

Reinstall the accelerator cable bracket and the air cleaner outlet resonator.

First, remove the throttle body.

Press the retainer locking tabs inward and pull the retainer up to remove it.

Install the MAP sensor into the intake manifold.

Reconnect the MAP sensor harness connector, position the PCV hose assembly for reassembly, and insert it into the mounting brackets.

Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector.

Install the air cleaner outlet resonator.

Remove the right engine sight shield.

Push it down to engage it into the retainer, then connect the harness connector.

Install the engine sight shield and finally, the oil filler cap.

Carefully open the MAP sensor retaining tabs just enough to remove the MAP sensor from the vacuum source, then pull the MAP sensor straight out.

Attach the MAP sensor retaining bracket and bolt.

Install it and tighten it to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

Reinstall the fuel rail and position the PCV hose assembly for reassembly.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Take out the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor and disconnect its electrical connector.

Position the MAP sensor onto the intake manifold.

Disconnect the MAP sensor harness connector and then remove the MAP sensor from the intake manifold.

Remove the MAP sensor retaining bolt and bracket, then take out the MAP sensor along with the MAP sensor port seal if it remains in the intake manifold.

Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge tube from the intake manifold.

First, remove the throttle body.

Install the MAP sensor and reconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector.

Remove the MAP sensor attaching screw and take out the MAP sensor along with the MAP sensor seal from the upper intake manifold.

Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor harness connector.

Disconnect the MAP sensor harness connector.

Install the MAP sensor retainer before connecting the electrical connector.

Inspect the MAP sensor seal for any damage and replace it if necessary.

Disconnect the MAP sensor harness connector.
