Start by taking off the air cleaner outlet resonator and accelerator cable bracket as the first step in manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor replacement. After disconnecting the MAP Sensor harness connector you must remove the MAP Sensor from its position on the Intake Manifold but inspect first for any signs of damage on the seal. A direct consequence of damaged MAP Sensor seals requires replacement of the sensor itself. Before installation position the new MAP Sensor inside the Intake Manifold with the new MAP Sensor seal which accompanies the sensor. To complete installation use the following sequence: connect the MAP Sensor harness connector then replace the accelerator cable bracket followed by reattaching the air cleaner outlet resonator.
