  • Q: How to replace the MAP Sensor on 2004 Chevrolet Malibu?
    A: Turn off the ignition before starting replacement of the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor. First disconnect the Throttle Body and the air cleaner outlet resonator. First disconnect the MAP Sensor harness connector but also remove the MAP Sensor along with its port seal if this remains in the Intake Manifold. First position the MAP Sensor with port seal inside the Intake Manifold and then secure the MAP Sensor harness connector by checking for the click then pull to verify proper connector seating. Reinstall the Throttle Body followed by the air cleaner outlet resonator.
