To change the Manifold absolute pressure Sensor, you need to remove the fuel injector sight shield. Remove the manifold absolute pressure sensor on the engine wiring harness electrical connector from MAP sensor, then pull out the MAP sensor bolt as well as the sensor. Apply clean engine oil to the NEW MAP sensor O-ring seal and install the MAP sensor and bolt, securing the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Then, connect the MAP sensor to the engine wiring harness electrical connector and reinstall the fuel injector sight shield.

To replace the Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor, first remove the intake manifold cover to replace it. Next, disconnect manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical conn, and also if needed, remove the spark plug wire clip from the intake manifold bracket. Next, disconnect the upper intake manifold bolts and remove the MAP sensor and its bracket and lastly the MAP sensor seal on the upper intake manifold. For installation, install the MAP sensor seal into upper intake manifold then MAP sensor and bracket. Make sure you install the bolts for the upper intake manifold and tighten them up at an angle of 25 Nm (18 lb ft). Reinstall the spark plug wire clip to the intake manifold bracket, MAP sensor electrical connector, and lastly, install the intake manifold cover, if required.

The first step when replacing the manifold absolute pressure sensor requires removing the Throttle Body. First disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor then pull out the MAP Sensor with its attached seal. Before installing the MAP Sensor into the Intake Manifold wipe its new sensor seal with clean engine oil. Proceed by attaching the engine harness electrical connector to the MAP Sensor followed by reinstalling the Throttle Body.

Starting the manifold absolute pressure sensor replacement process requires removing the Throttle Body. The evaporative emission (EVAP) purge tube needs disconnecting from the Intake Manifold before moving forward. Disconnect the wiring harness clips from the Fuel Rail then place the harness out of your working area. You must install the MAP Sensor into the Intake Manifold then route the evap canister purge tube through and connect it to this unit. Afterwards connect the Fuel Injector wiring harness electrical connector to the MAP Sensor. The final step involves installing the duct connected to the air cleaner outlet.

Start by removing the intake manifold cover before replacing the Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor. Remove the spark plug wire clip from the intake manifold bracket. Then disconnect the electrical connector of the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor. Remove the upper intake manifold bolts, followed by the MAP sensor and bracket, and take out the MAP sensor seal from the upper intake manifold.

Install the MAP sensor.

Reconnect the battery negative cable.

Take out the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor and disconnect its electrical connector.

Install the MAP sensor.

If needed, reinstall the spark plug wire clip to the intake manifold bracket, connect the MAP sensor electrical connector, and finally, install the intake manifold cover.

Install the MAP sensor onto the intake manifold.

First, remove the throttle body.

Install the MAP sensor onto the upper intake manifold, ensuring to follow fastener precautions.

Install the MAP sensor bolts and tighten them to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

Reconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the MAP sensor.

Remove the MAP sensor retainer and the MAP sensor itself.
