Before the new MAP Sensor is installed, lightly oil its seal with clean engine oil. Goes ahead and installs the MAP sensor together with its retainer and then join the engine harness wiring electrical connector to the MAP sensor. Lastly, replace the intake manifold sight shield.

After removing the MAP Sensor from its Intake Manifold position you should check the MAP Sensor seal for any signs of damage and replace it if found necessary. Before installing the MAP Sensor apply a small amount of clean engine oil on its seal to help with the operation. The MAP Sensor needs to be inserted into the Intake Manifold before you add the MAP Sensor retainer . To finish the installation reconnect the MAP Sensor electrical component.
