2009 Chevrolet Equinox Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the brake fluid level sensor on 2009 Chevrolet Equinox?
A: Start replacement of the Brake Fluid Level Indicator Switch by taking off the underhood electrical center bracket. First transfer the brake fluid from the reservoir into an acceptable storage container. Pull the level indicator switch from its position inside the master cylinder by pressing the retaining tabs and unplugging the electrical connector. Take out the low brake fluid sensor. Make sure the part matches its specified position before securing the brake fluid level indicator switch in the master cylinder using force to activate the retaining tabs. Connect both ends of the electrical switch connector. Also put back the underhood electrical center bracket. Use clean GM approved brake fluid or its equal in DOT-3 specification to fill the master cylinder reservoir.
