The first step involves removing both the fan retaining clip from the motor shaft followed by discarding it. After this step customers should take off the fan from the motor and the Fan Motor screws from the fan shroud before removing the Fan Motor from the fan shroud. Secure the Fan Motor onto the fan shroud by using Fan Motor screws and tighten each screw to 8 nm (71 lb in). Apply the fan onto the motor by keeping the scribe marks from before properly aligned between the fan hub and motor shaft. Install a new fan retaining clip onto the motor shaft which should be completely seated. Reinstall the vehicle cooling fan along with the shroud when the replacement process is complete.
