How to replace the exhaust heat shield for the catalytic converter on 2009 Chevrolet Impala?

First step to replace the Catalytic Converter heat shield involves removing the Catalytic Converter from the vehicle. The heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) wiring harness needs to be disconnected from the Catalytic Converter heat shield's clips. First drill out the rivets that fasten the heat shield before you take it off. You should position the new Catalytic Converter heat shield onto the underbody after which you secure it with new rivets. Reinstall the Catalytic Converter after reattaching the ho2s wiring harness to its clips on the heat shield.
