How to replace the left side exhaust manifold for RPOs LZE-3.5L Flex Fuel, LZ4-3.5L Gas, and LZ8-3.9L Flex Fuel on 2009 Chevrolet Impala?

Engine mount strut bracket removal is the first step to replace the left side Exhaust Manifold of rpos lze-3.5l flex fuel, lz4-3.5l gas, and lz8-3.9l flex fuel. Next follow the process of removing the Exhaust Manifold heat shield bolts along with the heat shield. First detach the bolts from the exhaust crossover pipe heat shield before removing the heat shield itself and then detach the exhaust crossover pipe from left Exhaust Manifold. The Exhaust Manifold needs to be thrown away after removal. The technician should put an Exhaust Manifold Gasket on the cylinder head studs before continuing with the Exhaust Manifold installation. Fastener handling requires attention followed by torquing the Exhaust Manifold bolts to 20 nm (15 lb ft). Afterwards install the crossover exhaust pipe to the left Exhaust Manifold studs while torquing them to 20 nm (15 lb ft). Reinstall the exhaust crossover pipe heat shield first followed by its bolts which should be torqued to 10 nm (89 lb in) and then attach and bolt the Exhaust Manifold heat shield at 10 nm (89 lb in). The procedure ends with replacing the engine mount strut bracket.
