Engine coolant Thermostat (LAT, LE5) (2.4L) replacement starts with draining the cooling system. Begin by moving the radiator outlet hose clamp to its proper location on the Thermostat cover before removing the outlet hose from this surface. First disconnect the Thermostat cover bolts before removing the cover while also removing the Thermostat from its position. Throw out the old Thermostat cover o-ring seal. Begin by putting new Thermostat cover o-ring seal before you install the Thermostat. Fastening operations require caution in order to protect the vehicle from damage. Put on the Thermostat cover bolts next and fasten them to 10 nm torque value (89 lb in). Secure the radiator outlet hose to the Thermostat cover while positioning its clamp in the correct spot around the cover. Finally, fill the cooling system.
