How to replace the engine flywheel on 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

Starting the process to replace an engine Flywheel requires removal of the automatic transmission first. After you remove the Flywheel bolts you should take out the Flywheel (1 or 2). The Flywheel requires cleaning followed by inspection according to specifications. The placement of new Flywheel weights should match their previous positions in the old Flywheel so each weight fits exactly where it used to be and an installed weight should sit at most slightly underneath the Flywheel face. Securing the new Flywheel (1 or 2) requires alignment of the Flywheel locator hole to the Flywheel locator pin. To install the Flywheel bolts start by following the specified torque sequence to achieve 100 nm (74 lb ft). Finally, reinstall the automatic transmission.
