Firstly, lift and support the vehicle. Take off the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer and unplug the ho2s electrical connector from the engine wiring harness electrical connector. Then obtain the ho2s from the Exhaust Pipe. Another option to turn back to could be reinstalling the old sensor, but then you should coat the threads with anti-seize compound gm p/n 12377953 aaa replace equivalent since a special anti-seize compound made out of liquid graphite and glass beads is used in the ho2s threads to make future removal easier. Mount the ho2s back onto the Exhaust Pipe, securing it with a torque of 42 nm (31 lb ft). Plug in the ho2s electrical connector to the engine wiring harness electrical connector and install the cpa retainer before lowering the vehicle.
