How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Sensor 2 on 2009 GMC Canyon?

Initiate replacement of heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) sensor 2 by clearing all codes with a scan tool even when no dtc is present and running an ho2s heater resistance learn process when possible through a scan tool to prevent ho2s failure. Raise the vehicle before starting procedures. Loosen the ho2s electrical connector and detach it from its position on the Engine Wiring Harness Connector. The service technician can remove the ho2s from its location in the Catalytic Converter through the use of j 39194-b tool (Heated Oxygen Sensor Wrench). The threads of your new ho2s need anti-seize compound p/n 5613695 as well as equivalent products if required for easy future removal. The j 39194-b (Heated Oxygen Sensor Wrench) enables installation of the ho2s into the Catalytic Converter which requires a torque force of 42 nm (31 lb ft). Next use the Engine Wiring Harness Connector to reconnect ho2s electrical connector while lowering the vehicle.
