How to Replace the A/C Hose with 4.8L, 5.3L, or 6.0L Engines for Discharge Hose on 2009 GMC Savana 2500?

The first step to replace the discharge hose includes recovering refrigerant from vehicles that have 4.8l, 5.3l, or 6.0l engines. The coolant recovery reservoir needs to be removed first then the grille second. You need to first disconnect the discharge line nut from the condenser then remove the discharge line bolt from the compressor which enables you to take out the discharge line from the vehicle. The installation requires putting the new discharge hose into the vehicle space while attaching the discharge hose nut to the condenser followed by tightening it to 16 nm (12 lb ft). Reinstall the grille while connecting the discharge hose to the compressor which should be secured using a compressor bolt tightened to 35 nm (26 lb ft). The j 39400-a halogen leak detector should be used for a leak test on the fittings after reinserting the coolant recovery reservoir.
