The first step to replace the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor requires uninstalling the rear compartment liner. Start by removing the cover bolts leading to the fuel sender access hole followed by removal of the cover itself. After disconnecting the fuel level sensor wiring harness electrical connector the pressure sensor can be removed from the fuel tank. It is essential to install the new sensor while using the NEW seal that comes with the replacement. Use the fuel level sensor wiring harness electrical connector to connect with the new fuel tank pressure sensor before putting the fuel sender access hole cover into position. Fasten the fuel sender access hole cover with bolts that should be tightened to 2 Nm (18 lb in) before putting back the rear compartment liner.
