2010 Chevrolet Camaro Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the A/C Hose on 2010 Chevrolet Camaro?
A: The first step to replace an air conditioning compressor hose requires the recovery of refrigerant from the a/c system. You should start by removing both the engine cover and air cleaner assembly. The a/c compressor hose assembly requires disconnecting the refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector with a note of the compressor-condenser hose path positioning. You should apply tape or caps across open a/c components to stop environmental contaminants. Start by removing the compressor hose nut , a/c compressor hose from the thermal expansion valve tube along with compressor hose bolt until finally extracting a/c compressor hose nut once more. Place a/c compressor hose into the condenser where you will discard the sealing washers. New two sealing washers should be positioned onto the a/c compressor hose before mounting it to the condenser using compressor hose nut tightened to 18 nm (13 lb ft). After attaching a/c compressor hose to both the compressor and engine position install compressor hose nut at the engine with a torque setting of 9 nm (7 lb ft). Secure compressor hose bolt with 18 nm setting while connecting a/c compressor hose to the thermal expansion valve tube and tightening compressor hose nut to 18 nm. Connect the refrigerant pressure sensor electrical wiring and return the air cleaner assembly and the engine cover in position. The refrigerant system needs evacuation and charging as the last step of the procedure.
