How to replace the fuel filler hose on 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt?

The main step before replacing the Fuel Tank filler pipe requires draining the Fuel Tank. First remove the bolts between the fill pipe and fill pipe housing along with the fuel fill pocket. Start by raising the vehicle while it is supported then remove the lower bolt from the fuel fill pipe. Before you start disconnect the Fuel Tank vent pipe quick connect fittings (1, 3) at the same time as loosening the Fuel Tank hose clamp. Extract both the Fuel Tank fill pipe hose from the tank following which you will detach the fill pipe from the automobile. Install the fuel fill pipe first onto its vehicle location before connecting the fuel fill pipe hose to the Fuel Tank. Securely tighten the Fuel Tank hose clamp with 4.5 nm (40 lb in) torque then attach the quick connect fittings of the Fuel Tank vent pipe at points (1, 3). Fasten the fuel fill pipe lower bolt into place while tightening it to 10 nm (89 lb in) so you can put the vehicle back on the floor. The installation sequence starts with installing the fuel fill pocket before fastening the fuel fill pipe to fill pipe housing bolts to 1.5 nm (13 lb in). To complete the process you should refill the Fuel Tank followed by installing the fuel fill cap.
