How to replace the inner door lock actuator on 2010 Chevrolet Corvette?

The first step to replace the door inside manual release actuator requires moving the seat to its rear position before removing both trim plugs that fasten the floor-mounted door release. Unscrew the pushpin behind the front seat riser cover closest to the door release to gain access to the rear fastener of the door release. The cover can then be opened forward. All fasteners need removal both from the door release along with the fasteners on the backside of the door release actuator. Start by distributing the halves of the release then unseat the sheath from the housing while noting the final cable sheath placement for installation. Guide the cable between the actuator halves while rotating the door release backwards and release the cable end from the latch actuating lever. Guide the cable while rotating the assembly forward during installation because you should face the door release actuator toward the rear and connect the cable end to the release actuating lever. Place the cable sheath end into the actuator before joining the two parts while ensuring the sheath enters the molded fingers of the actuator housing. Attach the door release actuator fasteners to the back of the device before tightening them to 2 Nm (18 lb in). Mount the door release actuator onto the edge of the door sill and insert both fasteners to the door release before tightening them to 10 Nm (89 lb in). You need to install both fastener trim plugs to the door release actuator then position the seat riser cover onto the riser hole before fastening the pushpin.
