2010 Chevrolet Corvette Trunk Lid Lift Support Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the rear Trunk Lid Lift Support on 2010 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: Begin work on the rear compartment lift window strut by opening its panel and holding it in place. Unplug the lower rear defogger electrical connector from the strut before releasing the retaining clip with a thin flat tool from the lower ball socket. Pull the strut away from the lower ball stud. You must first shift the retaining clamp away from the top strut ball joint socket before disconnecting the electrical wire from the end of the strut when ready to remove. Before installing the strut you must attach the defogger lower electrical connector before placing the strut rod side down into the lower bracket and fastening it to the upper bracket. Finish by linking the defogger upper electrical cord to the strut, taking away the lift window panel support, and lowering the lift window panel.
