2010 Chevrolet Corvette Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Remove and Replace a Fuse Box in the Underhood Electrical Center on 2010 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: The first step to remove and replace the fuse block requires disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. After disengaging the positive Battery Cable lead from its junction block position you should relocate the cable away. Begin by taking away the junction block cover before disconnecting electrical cable retainers which are mounted at the junction block's rear section. The lower cover of the junction block requires opening when the unit is upside down and you need to loosen bolts that secure the engine, i/p and forward lamp wiring harness connectors to the junction block. Unconnect the Engine Wiring Harness Connector along with the i/p wiring harness connector from the junction block before removing the junction block. Connect both the i/p wiring harness connector to the junction block then proceed with Engine Wiring Harness Connector installation. Fit the bolts which connect the underhood junction block and then lock them down with 7 nm (62 lb in). The electrical center needs to be placed in the proper position before users install both cable retainers at the rear section and place the junction block cover. Secure the positive Battery Cable lead to the junction block stud while tightening the lead nut to 10 nm (89 lb in). The last step includes connecting the negative Battery Cable.
