  A: One must start by taking out the front suspension crossmember and the Oil Filter before replacing the Oil Pan. The repair process starts by removing the left rear transmission cover and continues with sequence removal of the Starter motor assembly and ending with the right transmission cover. Disconnect the engine oil level sensor electrical connector along with removal of transmission lines from both the pan's back and front surfaces. You should remove two oil cooler bolts then pull the oil cooler apart from the Oil Pan while discarding its seal. After unfastening all rear Oil Pan bolts when done unfasten the bell housing to Oil Pan bolts and the rest of the Oil Pan bolts to extract the Oil Pan from the engine block while potentially rotating it for clearance reasons. Pull out the Oil Pan Gasket that sits on the engine block. Put 5 mm (0.2 in) sealant with a 20 mm (0.8 in) length directly onto engine block tabs which extend into the Oil Pan surface at front and rear cover gasket locations. Set the Oil Pan Gasket in place on the Oil Pan while using two bolts for positioning and then install the engine block assembly to the Oil Pan with finger-tight bolts. Fasten the Oil Pan assembly mounting bolts with m6 to 12 nm (106 lb in) torque specification and m8 bolts to 25 nm (18 lb ft). Install a new oil cooler seal while securely mounting the oil cooler with torque to 12 nm (106 lb in). Connect the engine oil level sensor electrical connection before installing the right transmission cover with a bolt that requires 12 nm (106 lb in) torque. Install the front and rear automatic transmission cooler line retainers with bolts while using 12 nm of torque (106 lb in). Put the Starter assembly together with the left rear transmission cover and bolt and then add the Oil Filter before installing the front suspension crossmember.
