How to replace the front coil springs on 2010 Chevrolet Express 2500?

Starting to replace the front coil spring requires suspending and lifting the vehicle. Start by removing the tire and wheel before proceeding to take off the shock absorber then disconnect the front stabilizer shaft link. Secure the lower Control Arm near its lower Ball Joint using a proper safety jack while using the proper tool to release tension from the lower Control Arm. First clear the nuts and washers from the lower Control Arm pivot bolts before removing front and rear pivot bolts. Lower the lower Control Arm to extract the coil spring and insulator then separate the spring compressor tool together with the Coil Spring Insulator from the coil spring. Install the Coil Spring Insulator onto the coil spring before using the appropriate tool to compress and position the flat end inside the shock tower pocket and the pointed end into the lower Control Arm pocket. Install the coil spring and insulator onto the lower Control Arm before you raise the lower Control Arm into position while placing a suitable safety jack under the lower Control Arm rear leg near the bushing. Follow these installation steps: add rear and front pivot bolts followed by lower Control Arm pivot bolt retaining nuts and washers. Tighten bolts to 155 nm (114 lb ft) when gvw is below 14050/12300 or to 120 nm (89 lb ft) + 175° when vehicle has gvw 14050/12300 or a diesel engine. Reinstall the shock absorber followed by the front stabilizer shaft link before you remove the coil spring compressor tool. Complete the process by replacing the tire and wheel and then eliminating the support before lowering the vehicle back to the ground.
