During the next step you should detach the fasteners holding the side door check to the door pillar while removing the side door check from its position in the door. To set the check, place the new side door check within the door then attach its end to the inside pin and apply gentle tension when fitting the check into position. The fasteners must be installed on the side door check to secure it to the door pillar while tightening them to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
